Three Inches Was Erotica. Three and a Half Became LOVE.

I am waiting

The silver dress

The silver shoes

My ammunition

The bar, the book

To mystify

My disposition

Strategic thinking

Plan, campaign

My intuition

I am waiting

For my love

To break partitions

I am waiting

For my love

To break divisions

The mystery

He…

Is he?

I cannot dance in shoes he bought me

The size

Only half an inch closer to the sky and

I fall

I am off balance

When I fall

I fall on him

Heels off the ground

It is the only way to remain standing

Chest to chest connection

No hands, no arms

It’s the only way to learn tango

Chest to chest

Press harder

Harder, harder, harder

You need resistance

Keep your body straight

You are a string

You are an arrow

We are an arrow

I can’t do it!

You don’t press hard enough

I am lost

I cannot move

What foot?

If you don’t know what to do

Stop

Listen to the music

Your partner will take you there

Where?

Close your eyes

Trust

Go

Tango,

Tango,

Tan-‘GO

Go

I kept resisting

Yet, in dance

It’s the condition

Resistance, balance, opposition

The perfect blend of passion, love and intuition

Two solitudes juxtaposition

Love?

Is it love?

THIS IS LOVE!!!

This is erotic. In your way. And you said you cannot create poetry. Whether it was sadness or passion that moved this along, it works. Linked.

Augustine, thank you.

I cannot yet write "I had such a steamy night..."

It would be a bit too much.

I was encoding. It means more than meets the eye - remembering a special night.

Besides, I am not responsible for erotica - it is the talent of the other party - I am just lucky. Or am I?

Good morning Svetlana. Where do you get the energy? To mold words into dance, of romance, is not done by chance, I can see at a glance, that you took a chance.

Sin rumbo - Otros Aires - Tango was a treat thanks for that choice. It illustrated so well, how that little 1/2" difference can make the difference in grace and a fall from grace.

Thank you, Mike.

I don't have the energy. Zero. Nada (nothing) is left for today.

But you know that sometimes when one thinks - it is better to be distracted by writing... than not.

I did not sleep all that well and, of course, I am thinking today - I should have. But I could not.

Writing and doing this made me feel better - I felt yesterday that I start creating a story - that "The Love" is my own novel and I believe in it.

The words... as I said - the poem is cryptic.

"The silver dress and shoes" is one man.

"Falling on the chest" is another - it was taught at the milonga (tango social).

But it was amazing - the man was right - no hands, no arms - and there is nothing to rely on but on leaning. And I could not maintain the connection - and, of course, with the leaning technique the angle prevents from landing on heels. But that is the rule - in tango you supposed to lean forward and be on one foot (on the ball of it).

And resistance - it is a proper term in dancing. However, in love, I think it should not be - the closer you get to the object, the sooner the fascination dissolves.

I don't know what to do and it is killing me. I just thought - let it be for now (now is nine months long by now), but still... decisions are made when one is ready.

I listen to a lot of music and I keep discovering new songs and I loved this French tango (of course, they pronounce it Taan-'GO, it seemed so natural - tango, GO).

The first rule of tango is - if you can walk, you can dance tango. Of course, you can, but now I even agree that tango has a stronger appeal to older people - it is the dance that has to be understood - it is wisdom that is earned by so many years of loving and living.

And those shoes. He bought them, but it was I who chose them. They were silver - my favourite colour so far for dancing shoes, silver with sequins - beautiful.

But tango shoes must be different - maybe one day he will buy me tango shoes and I will be on that stage. Dreaming!

But the lady who shared the link - she did it as I was uploading the hub - she said "that the love of your life is just around the corner". She dances tango and both her teacher and her tango shoes are from Argentina. As authentic as it gets.

Well, I'd better get ready for the Tango Congress - those will be busy four days. Today is the first class and the first milonga - I hope to remember it as my best birthday present.

But as far as sizes (3" or 3.5" - I think I exaggerated - it all depends on a person, everyone has the heel height limit and you always can tell by the knees - if a woman walks in high heels and cannot keep her knees straight - heels are too high.)

Again, I was referring to more than one idea of a size...

But, yes, I will try tango in those silver shoes that became much more than just a pair of shoes.

The clip - it was amazing - it is the personification of love for the dance. He is fantastic, too, but I could not see him - I kept watching her and it is the ultimate rule in dancing - "a man is only an accessory, a woman is the beauty." A lot of men dance the reverse version "I am the man! Look at me."

Thank you, ubanichijioke.

I do love it, the tango, the man, the games, the dance, the words. And the awesome world of photography.

Who can remain indifferent? Only those people who were taught to be PROPER. I am anything but.

Nice to meet you, kallini! I love dancing as a metaphor. Those who can't hear the music, will never be in rhythm. I love the following:

"I am waiting

For my love

To break partitions

I am waiting

For my love

To break divisions"

Most men need to study the art of doing this before the age of 18. It should be a compulsory subject in secondary schools.

Voted up!

You have tangoed for two days now at the Tango Congress. You climbed into your silver shoes and made the moves across the floor. A perfect escape and destination and an exaltation.

Thank you, Leroy64 & MartieCoetser:

Thank you for reading and leaving a comment. I cannot respond - I am dead after four days of tango.

When I came to the tango congress in Toronto, I said I had been DANCING for eight weeks. Which was not true - I took seven lessons (an hour and a half per week). That was not dancing. Dancing at the Congress until 5 a.m. was DANCING.

So I have been dancing only for four days.

I don't know enough about the dance and the depth of it.

And MIKE:

just a short note. Yes, silver shoes - I was able to dance tango in them - but I need a week for rehabilitation.

So, I am off to get a wave of ice cubes - capture it with the bucket and put my feet in it. FOR A WEEK.

Love is pain, pain is love. I am so tired that I cannot even think. Maybe I am cured from the desire to write.

So much for eloquence.

Thank you, dear readers.

Sit, relax, and recuperate. Soon your feet will feel better. Soon you will have caught up on your sleep. Once your feet feel better then you will just have pleasant memories of four days of dancing. I am sure the memories will be relished for years to come. Welcome back.

Thank you, Mike.

You are right - I need a lot of rest. I cannot even put everything together - my memories are blocked by pain.

It was an overload. And, yes, I will never forget it.

But I was lucky. There was "a noble ...." (I am struggling with the noun). Ok, let's call him tanguero.

He took me under his wing:

"You have danced six weeks? No! You are an amazing dancer!" First he made sure we could dance - every type of tango. Then he started coaching me -

- fix your embrace

- don't hang on me

- keep your eyes on my chest

- don't break the lead

- wait for me, I!!! am leading

- watch your ochos

- relax your arm

- put on your shoes back, we are dancing

- present yourself

Is it any wonder I was dead? But he did all that shines, you know when a woman extends one leg on the floor, and things I did not think I would be able to do without coaching. The highlight - he takes my leg, puts on his hip and the next thing I know - I am in the air. One of the maestros took a picture - I had nothing to say. I said - I have nothing to do with all that - he was leading. However, he told me that it was the connection, not everyone would do it. I am sure - no one normal would go for it.

I am rambling. "I am an amazing dancer and I am so amazingly amazing...." Anyways, he told me to find a good partner and dance. We'll see.

I'm going to take it easy for a couple of days. I'm sitting and listening to the new songs - tango is so complex.

Wow! What a romantic scene - Tanguero and student... doing the tango (of all dances!) I can do a sizzling short story on this. I think the set-up is a perfect back-ground for decent erotic poems and stories. Sorry you are so tired - What amaze me, always - how do you dance on those high heels? I'm curious to read more of your hubs about dancing. (Love to dance, but only with a man who knows how to lead. PS: Read in past tense.) Kallini, I've done the tango on all the buttons on this page, just because of your exotic description of a dancing lesson.

Dear Martie:

I am sorry I am so bad with responding. But I am caught up in this Tango Wave - since last Thursday there was no break. I am looking forward to the next Tuesday - when Halloween (my birthday) is over and I can get back to my things. Even though writing will not be the first priority.

The heels - 3.5 inches is not the limit. 4 inches... I don't have tango shoes yet. They are more expensive.

Yes, a good partner is a rare thing, but it is a sheer joy to dance with a good partner.

Let me catch my breath and when I am ready, I hope to write something nice about tango and dancing and erotic tango waves...

Thank you so much for your patience and interest. I hope to be back. And pay you a visit.

All the best and good luck with your writing.
